Since 2015, the New Lenox Fire Protection District has partnered with local citizens and businesses to raise money for Wreaths Across America. For the past two years we have been able to cover an entire section, nearly 1,900 gravesites, at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL. On the morning of December 16th, officials blessed a new fire engine that will be going into service for the New Lenox Fire Protection District (NLFPD).

New Lenox Fire Protection District, November 25

Once again each of the New Lenox Fire Protection District’s (NLFPD) four fire stations will have a large wreath on the front of them with all red lights. These wreaths are not just decorations for the holidays; they are there with a purpose.

New Lenox Fire Protection District, November 12

The New Lenox Fire Protection District is now collecting items for Toys for Tots. Area residents will be able to drop off new, unwrapped toys at each of the four fire stations.

Collection dates will be November 1st through December 5th. Any toys collected after that date will be delivered to the New Lenox Township and Silver Cross Hospital.
