The New Lenox Fire Protection District (NLFPD) will be conducting live burn training at a donated home on North Cooper Road March 15, March 16, and March 17 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily. Residents in the vicinity may see smoke in the area during this time. Cooper Road south of Oakview Drive will have a heavy presence of fire apparatus during these times. This morning at 10:25 a.m., the New Lenox Fire Protection District received a call for a structure fire on the 1000 block of Southgate Road.

Upon arrival, there was heavy smoke coming from the townhomes’ detached garages. The fire was immediately upgraded to a full still response.

New Lenox Fire Protection District Responds to Accident on I-80

New Lenox Fire Protection District, January 07

This morning at 4:43 a.m. the New Lenox Fire Protection District received a call for service for an accident with injuries about a mile east of Maple Street on I-80. Upon arrival, a sedan was found pinned under the rear of the trailer of a semi.

On the afternoon of December 15th, officials blessed a new fire engine that will be going into service for the New Lenox Fire Protection District (NLFPD).
