New Lenox Fire Foundation Donates $16,000

New Lenox Fire Protection District, March 20

At the March Board of Trustee's meeting the District accepted a donation of $16,000 from the New Lenox Fire Foundation to purchase Rescue Task Force (RTF) equipment. This equipment will be used in the event of an active shooter event in the community and will allow our members to enter the area of the hostile event quicker to be able to provide life saving care to those who are injured.... On Monday, March 4, the New Lenox Fire Protection District received calls for two separate fires.
Just before 10 a.m. Monday morning, the NLFPD received a call for service in the Target parking lot for a car on fire. The crew was able to put the fire out quickly. No one was injured.

New Lenox Fire Protection District will receive bids immediately for a new Ford F-550 Ambulance (per specifications in the request for proposal) at 261 E. New Lenox Fire Protection District (NLFPD) has had its busiest year in its history. In 2018, we will respond to more than 4,500 calls, over 500 more than in 2017. This averages to 12 calls per day. In busier times of the year, we can see upward of 20 calls per day.

New Lenox Fire Protection District, December 17

Saturday, December 15th, the New Lenox Fire Protection District (NLFPD) joined together with thousands of volunteers across the country to honor the nation’s veterans through the annual Wreaths Across America campaign.

The NLFPD Fire Chief, Trustees, firefighters and staff all participated in the event at the Abraham Lincoln Cemetery in Elwood, IL by placing wreaths on veterans' graves.
