New Lenox Fire Protection District Collection Site for Toys for Tots

New Lenox Fire Protection District, November 12

The New Lenox Fire Protection District is now collecting items for Toys for Tots. Area residents will be able to drop off new, unwrapped toys at each of the four fire stations.

Collection dates will be November 1st through December 5th. Any toys collected after that date will be delivered to the New Lenox Township and Silver Cross Hospital.

New Lenox Fire 5th Grade Poster Contest Winners Announced

New Lenox Fire Protection District, October 25

During the month of October the New Lenox Fire Protection District (NLFPD) conducted a Fire Safety Message Poster Contest for all the 5th grade classrooms in New Lenox. The posters were based on the National Fire Prevention Association’s (NFPA) Fire Prevention Week Theme for 2019 which was, “Not Every Hero Wears a Cape. Plan and Practice Your Escape.”

New Lenox Fire Protection District Extinguishes Fire

New Lenox Fire Protection District, October 24

Just before 2 a.m. this morning, the New Lenox Fire Protection District (NLFPD) received a call for a possible structure fire in the 350 block of West Maple Street. A passerby noticed the fire and alerted a police officer who called in the fire.

On Monday, October 21st during the monthly Board of Trustee’s meeting, the New Lenox Fire Protection District (NLFPD) will honor a New Lenox resident who quickly responded to a neighbor in need, when he noticed he was not breathing.
