Deputy Chief Dennis Randolph

Dennis Randolph currently serves the district as Deputy Chief. Prior to his appointment as DC in 2022, Dennis was the NLFPD's Battalion Chief for Red Shift. He started in New Lenox as a contracted firefighter in 2003, and was hired by the district in 2010. He served the district in varying roles, including Firefighter/Paramedic, Lieutenant, Deputy Fire Marshal, and Battalion Chief. Dennis has been a member of the Fire Investigation Team, and oversees buildings, grounds, supplies and communications.  In addition, DC Randolph received his Chief Fire Officer designation through the Commission on Professional Credentialing (CPC). He is one of 1,750 in the country with this designation. 

 

Deputy Chief Terrence Vavra

Terrence Vavra is currently serving as a Deputy Chief for the District. Prior to this position DC Vavra has worked for four other Fire Departments and Districts. He began in the fire service in 1976 in Lisle Woodridge Fire District retiring as a Deputy Chief. He has been the Fire Chief in Buffalo Grove Fire Department, Norwood Park Fire District and La Grange Fire Department. He is a certified Chief Fire Officer with the Office of the State Fire Marshal and holds a Master Degree in Management and Organizational Behavior from Benedictine University.
