We have improved our website to provide you with up to date information on our district. We are constantly trying to improve our department and offer you an explanation of what we do for our citizens.
On our website you can find interesting information about our fire district, ambulance billing, exciting news about our district, answers to some frequently asked questions and some response statistics. We strive to be as transparent as possible for our taxpayers.
We currently have four stations, each one with an ambulance and a fire engine. The ambulances are all considered ALS (Advanced Life Support) and are manned by two paramedics. These paramedics function through the Silver Cross EMS system. Sometimes they are joined by paramedics on the fire engine or ladder truck. All of our front line engines, ladder truck and ambulances carry ALS equipment. If an ambulance is out of the station, then the engine may arrive at your home first. Engines as well as the ladder truck are fully equipped with ALS supplies. An engine may respond to your emergency first if closer than the nearest ambulance to provide that fastest care possible.
The New Lenox Firefighters are here to serve you night and day in any emergency. If you do have an emergency please call 9-1-1. Our Lincoln-Way Dispatch center will take your call and send the appropriate units to your location to assist you in any matter. We train to provide the best care, and also have compassion and pride in our work.
As your fire chief, I personally welcome you to our website and would like you to visit your professional fire stations. To ensure that you can tour a fire house please call 815-463-4500 to schedule a visit. We are here 24/7, but may be out of the station due to training, inspections or emergency calls. You will find that New Lenox has a very polite and professional staff and we are here to assist you!
Stay safe and healthy.
