New Lenox Fire Protection District Collection Site for Toys for Tots

New Lenox Fire Protection District, November 13

The New Lenox Fire Protection District is now collecting items for Toys for Tots. Area residents will be able to drop off new, unwrapped toys at each of the four fire stations.

Collection dates will be November 1st through December 5th. Any toys collected after that date will be delivered to the New Lenox Township and Silver Cross Hospital.

New Lenox Fire Protection District Responds to Accident Involving Submerged Vehicle

New Lenox Fire Protection District, November 06

Last night, at approximately 8:50 p.m., the New Lenox Fire Protection District was dispatched to 200 Veterans Parkway for an auto accident. Upon arrival, the crews found New Lenox Police Officers in the pond attempting to rescue a person from a submerged vehicle.
The Battalion Chief requested a MABAS 19 Dive Team response and crews immediately entered the water and attempted to remove the victim.

New Lenox Fire Protection District, November 04

This morning, just after 5 a.m., the New Lenox Fire Protection District received a call for a structure fire in the 1200 block of Timber Place. Once the NLFPD arrived on scene, they confirmed the fire in a two-story apartment building with five units inside and upgraded the fire to a full-still response.

New Lenox Fire District Honors Veterans through Wreaths Across America Campaign

New Lenox Fire Protection District, October 22

The New Lenox Fire Protection District (NLFPD) is honoring the nation’s veterans through the Wreaths Across America campaign. They will be sponsoring wreaths to be placed at the Abraham Lincoln Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois.
