The New Lenox Fire Protection District (NLFPD) and New Lenox Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 5097 (L5097) will be bringing Santa to town on December 12th. Santa will be riding through neighborhoods throughout the New Lenox area in a fire engine.
“We are always looking for a fun way to give back, and the past several years bringing Santa to town has had such a great response from the community,” said Lt. Dan Vanek, President L5097.
This is the 4th annual Santa Claus is coming to Town event the NLFPD and L5097 will be bringing to New Lenox. Due to the current pandemic, Santa will be riding on the engine instead of walking through the neighborhoods.
“Although it may look a little different than we have done in years past," said NLFPD Fire Chief Adam Riegel, "we encourage the residents to step outside and wave to Santa and the firefighters as he makes his way through the neighborhoods!"
Below are the list of approximate times Santa will be visiting the neighborhoods: 10:00 a.m. - Jacob's Field 10:10 a.m. - Jackson Branch 10:20 a.m. - Laraway Ridge 10:25 a.m. - Horizon Meadows 10:30 a.m. - Taylor Glen 10:35 a.m. - Rachel Ridge 10:40 a.m. - Water Chase 10:45 a.m. - Bristol Park 11:05 a.m. - Sky Harbor 11:15 a.m.- Heather Glen 11:20 a.m. - Hibernia 11:30 a.m. - Bluestone Bay 11:40 a.m. - Foxborough 11:45 a.m. - Boulder Ridge 12:00 p.m. - Sanctuary
“Any time we are able to bring Santa with us to an event, the excitement on children’s faces make it that much more special,” stated Riegel.
