To the residents and visitors of our District- We want to reassure you that the New Lenox Fire Protection District has planned and we are prepared to deal with the Novel Coronavirus (COVID 19). We are taking every precaution to do our part, including the practice of social distancing. To keep our members and their families’ safe, to keep our community residents safe, and to keep this unique situation from becoming worse in our area, we are putting these temporary precautions in place until further notice: The most important thing we can all do is limit exposure and practice good hygiene. We urge our residents to respect the requests made by both the State and Federal government to limit your levels of exposure. We must be proactive and follow these precautions to protect those who could be in the “higher- risk” category of susceptibility of the virus. It is also important to remain claim and to be respectful to each other during this time. The Fire District will continue to work closely with the Village of New Lenox, the New Lenox Police Department, New Lenox Township and our EMS System to keep our community informed as this situation evolves. As always, we will continue to respond to all your emergency calls- 24/7! We understand that these are challenging times but know that we WILL get through this, together. Respectfully, |
